Yes, please DO be scared about what you are doing to your body. Bulimia is a no-win situation that will do nothing for you but mess up your metabolic system, screw up your teeth and stomach and send your whole system into a whacked out nightmare. That's the bad news.
The GOOD news is that you CAN recover, and the fact that you are here opening up to us is a really good sign that you want the help and are willing to reach out to get it. You mentioned that you don't look like the type to have an ED - many people with bulimia don't. That doesn't negate the fact that you are in serious need of help and are harming your body. Please consider going to seek professional help via a counselor or talking to your doctor. Stats show that the sooner people get help for their EDs the better chance they have at recovery.
Also, keep posting here. This is a very encourage group that will help support you through your journey:)

Good for you for starting to see a counselor....that is a huge step, and one that will prove invaluable along your recovery journey. I'm so glad you found us and shared your story here....many of us can relate with what you had to say. Please keep us posted on how you are doing!
I suffered 14 years of bulimia and anorexia. I have had $8,000 in dental work, heart enlargement, chronic gerd, decreased gastrointestinal motility and esophageal damage, chronic heartburn (I have to take tums before every workout) and chronic constipation due to nerve damage I also have calcification deposites on my sacrum causing low back pain from hell. Damage is real, it is irreversible and scary. This will kill you eventually and that is the reality. But you taken the first bold step, noticing there's a problem and seeking help. I'm sure the counselor will help tremendously.
Welcome here, we support eachother towards recovery
