ok so i havent had my period for 2 years now (aka i have amorreha...is that how it's spelled???? due to low body weight)....but i still get the side effects of it every month....i get bloated, bitchy, ravenous (ok maybe not ravenous but i eat a little more than usually), crampy, and tired......is this normal even though i do not have the actual menstrual bleeding?????

I have the exact same problem....I wish i knew the answer to wether or not this is normal or not....all I know is that it really sucks!

Umm I dunno if it is normal but that is really bad that it has been that long... you might want to maybe.. work on that. Get on birth control pills or something. that would also help regulate everything.

I do, too! my last menses occurred in February 2005, but I get symptoms near monthly. I have often questioned my sanity in this regard.

sammer's right. you're probably low on estrogen. u should make an appointment w/ your gyno.

im 19 and havent had a period 4 nearly 4months,my doctor says its normal with ppl with eatting disorders...

It is normal, but not healthy... Obviously, eating disorders are not healthy but when you don't have your period you don't absorb calcium which leads to osteoporosis and no one wants that. I haven't had mine in two months though and I HAVE been on birth control... REALLY not a good sign... I changed birth control though so maybe that is why.

im well aware that not having my period is normal because of my eating disorder...i just wanted to know if having the side effects were normal...since some people have said that they have them too without their periods i guess that my question is answered.....Sammer i do have low calcium..i have osteopenia even though i take calcium supplements and a multivitamin

I agree with sammer on getting on birth control. When I was "lighter" my mom got worried I was 13 when I went on it and haven't missed one yet because of my weight.

I think you should go to your doctor if you have amorreha. Ive had the same thing for a year and my doctor told me that im not producing enough oestrogen which increases my risk of osteoperosis if i dont take the pill
