Looks like you've done a lot of work in the past and continuing to look for answers to what works and doesn't. I am 67 and looking for people who are in recovery but are still needing a support group to keep it that way. Right now I have gone 14 days without overeating or bingeing eating. I have over come, smoking, alcohol, Anorexia, Bulimia and working on the overeating and bingeing. I was a late bloomer with alchhol and dropped it very easily along with smoking, but the eating was extremely difficult to say the least. So, now that I have finally unstand what one day at a time means, I am doing just that, so today I am realizing that I'm going to lose weight because I haven't been over eating or bingeing in two weeks. I need to be carefull not to get ahead of myself and think I'm all better now and i got it all together and I don't need you or anyone else anymore. I am here because I am not cured and I need you and others like me to continue supporting one another one day at a time...........Thank you for telling part of my story and lets share in helping each other, warm regards, Joan
It's good to know that someone that's even older than I am still struggles with eating. Most of the women I know in the area where I live do not share--especially admitting to purging.
I have other health issues, so I've discovered if I eat very healthy as indicated by what is helpful to some of my other health conditions, I feel so much better. I think clearer, can learn more and definately feel less anxious and depressed.
Talk to you soon!

It's taking me awhile to figure out this website and how much people can put on their Journal, Goals etc. etc. etc. etc. Right now I am taking it slow so I don't get overwhelmed trying to figure out this system.
Nice of you to respond and sorry that you have a lot of health issues. I didn't get away as cleanly as I thought when it came to my health. When I switched to Bulimia age 41 from being Anorexic off and on since age 13. My world totally changed and landed up in the hospital from starvation. So when my heart went out of rhythem and over the years it got worse, I found out that I needed to take medication for the rest of my life in order to keep my heart stable and it has for ten years. I feel the Arthirithis spreading all around like a lot of us old gals!
Good to hear your eating better and I've stopped OE/Binging for 17 days now, since I got on to my other ED support group. My goal is to stablize and bring in more healthy choices in my food selection. Add exercise now that the weather is warmer. So keep in touch, do what ever it takes to continue on in your recoverey....hugs to you and your furbabies, Joan
