i no just how you feel. I deff see how you are conflicted but one thing you have to remember is, the part of you that wants to keep losing weight is the demon disease part of you. The disease part wants you to keep losing weight even if that means you getting to the point where your mother will end up having a funeral for her own daughter. you dont want that do you? ik that is a scary thought but it is true if you dont get help. im an anorexic so i do see where you are coming from. The right thing for you to do is go into this treatment program. yes u will put on more weight but in those types of programs that help u deal with the emotional side so you wont feel like ur fat. u will actually be healthy and happy. I personally dont no what that feels like but I will be looking forward to hearing about your recovery :) ik you can do it! message me if you ever need some extra support!
ive talked to my mom about dying cuz of this ed and she said that i wont cuz im not anorexic skinny, which im not. i want treatment...i was thinking maybe just an op therapist that specializes in ed? that way i can do nutrisystem and workout without being confined and still lose weight and work out my emotional stuff?
Going into treatment was the BEST thing I could have done for myself. It literally stopped the vicious cycle I was in. Yes, you can see someone once a week for 45 minutes, but it pales in comparison to a treatment program when things get that bad.
I wish you the best....
MS in mental health counseling here and recovering AN. It sounds like your mom is in denial. She doesn't want you to go to treatment because that would mean your illness is real. She may blame herself on some level. Disregard what she says and gently speak to her truth. I am glad to hear you are going to go to treatment.
