I just realized that the avi pics are too small to even see on here. LOL

On my page, the avi pic is there and if you click on it down at the bottom of the page where my other pics are, it is big enough to see clearly.

I personally think you look great, but my Eating Disorder is out of control; so my logic is all out the window. But I looked at your picture and I really tried hard to look at you through normal eyes and so I could give you an honest opinion about whether or not you look normal, thin, chubby, heavy or anorexic. I don't mean this to sound cruel or rude, so please don't take it as such. But in my opinion, you can tell you're Anorexic. I can see it clearly in your hands, shoulders and face....especially your hands. Plus, I can tell you don't like your body; because you are wearing long sleeves for one and secondly you are pretty much covered up. That could mean one of two things, you are cold all the time (like I am) or you don't like your body; so you try to cover it up so people won't see you. I just want you to know that I don't know you, but you seem like a really nice person and you deserve a lot better of a life than this. Trust me, you are far from chubby. You are definitely way thin! But again, I'm battling with my ED; so I would give anything to look like you. Even though I know in my heart that it's not a healthy weight....If that makes any sense!

It's hard to tell because you are under a blanket. You are beautiful. But your face looks a little thin to me. Your picture where you say you are 20 pounds heavier looks normal to me.

I agree with Ebaby about the first pic. I think in the pic that says 20lbs. heavier, you still look thin. It looks like you have nice muscle in your legs. You're very beautiful and I think the "heavier" picture looks healthy.

Yea I can't tell because of the blanket but in your 20 pounds heavier picture you appear very thin to me still...

Just looking to gain some perspective.

I didn't think about the fact that I'm covered up with a blanket. DUH Shari. I'm always covered up it seems. Big, baggy sweats, clothes that are too big, etc. I'm just so used to hiding my body that I forget that people can't really "see" me.

Funny - I just noticed that in the picture where I weighed 20 pounds more than I do now..I was willing to wear shorts. LOL!

Not a chance in hell would I attempt such a feat now.

I can't really say much about your current picture as you are covered up...the only clue I have is your collar bones, they are quite noticable to me, I would lean toward thin or anorexic. I agree with some of the others the 20 pound heavier picture looks healthy.

I honestly think you look a bit too thin in the "20 pounds over" picture. So if you lost 20 lbs since then, I'd probably say you looked anorexic, but I can't really see because of the blanket. I think you woud be a lot healthier looking if you gained some weight, because you are a beatiful lady, you really shouldn't worry so much about your apperance, you should worry about your health.

Would an answer to your question really be a tool for you to use to gauge your own perceptions? If you are like me (and lucky for you that you are not!) then you could have a zillion people answer in the exact same fashion, but your mind can easily tell you that these people are crazy and don't really have a clear perception themselves. I have to say, I can even distort the numbers on the scale according to how I feel or what tricks my mind might need to play on me for any of several reasons. So any other outside influence really doesn't give me any information.

However I did view your pics and I just couldn't get past those big, green, alien eyes on your cat! So cute! All I looked at was your gorgeous face, your eyes and your kitties! I know this (anorexia) must suck so bad. You have been a consistent contact for me and I enjoy reading all your posts.

Shari hun, to me you look very thin. Even the heavier picture you still look very frail. When I show people my "thin" picture they tend to say I look sick, and I hesitate to say that because you are beautiful but IMHO very underweight. I hope you are able to hear all these opinions and use them as a boost to get yourself for well deserved help...you can do it!

I only saw the picture of you 20 lbs heavier. I have to say--you look too think 20lbs heavier--although still in a "healthy" range probably. I think you could be told a million times you are emaciated and you wouldn't trust it. It's so hard to not be able to trust yourself. It's part of the disorder. You have a disorder--body image distortion. How many people tell you you are chubby? How many people tell you they are scared about your health or your emaciated? I bet more for the later. I am eating disordered and know this distortion (I rely on my husband to be honest). You are undoubtedly emaciated. If you have to ask you are probably too thin. It's like a science experiment. You don't have to trust yourself--in fact your eyes cannot be trusted. Don't forget to cover your full-length mirrors! Much luck to you--I hope you get what you need!!!

I just wanted to thank all of you who responded to my request for your opinion.

Weird thing is, it was easier to accept the opinion of "strangers" than it is to accept the words of people IRL who have said the same thing.

Now, as for what I'm going to do with this new knowledge and discovery? LOL I have no clue. I'll think about it though, and come up with a plan.
