I truly believe recovery from ED is possible....just take things one day at a time, and remember we are here for support.
You say "some kids are severely broken, emotionally, and mentally, and I'm trying to give them so much love that all they feel is love" and this is so sweet. My first thought though was "What about giving yourself some of that love?" Many of us who develop ED's have done so because we are trying to cope with difficult feelings. Difficult feelings that are rooted in difficult or traumatic situations. Most times we have not learned to love ourselves and that actually fuels an ED because we often don't feel 'worthy' of anything good.
My feeling after reading your post is that it would really benefit you if you started to love your inner children as much as you love the children you work with. It is in loving yourself that you will heal. No amount of external gratification will heal you. It comes from within.
