Sounds like your family has decided to use emotional blackmail on you: Do what they tell you to do or else you are a worthless wad.
Jerks! ;p
Follow your heart and do what feels right to you...wrap up school and then commit to healing yourself. Perhaps they are worried what will come out once you begin therapy... (??)
It's hard....very hard....but ignore the hate and walk away from all their drama. You are amazing and never forget it!

Hun you know as well as I do that eating disorders are not common place with haitians or most black communities. The actually ARE common place but noone talks about it.
TBH I think its easier for your mum to tell herself that this isn't real or that you are exaggerating or whatever because if she really believed her little girl had such an awful illness she wouldn't know how to cope. I know its easier said than done but you need to try and remember this and forget her for now. Focus on fixing you. You can deal with her later. When your stronger hun.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
I shouldn't talk I have put on so much over christmas and new years that I have taken 2 days off sick leave so I can 'properly' starve myself, before I start the gym again next week. Man WHAT are we doing to ourselves?
ive volunteered to babysit just so i can burn calories chasing this baby arund and playing and lifting her and not have to eat. i eat a little to keep me awake and moving but all my energy goes to this baby girl.
