When I was desperate and reaching out, I just wanted to be skinny and happy. I wanted to continue killing myself and find some happiness while doing so. The great oxymoron of the newcomer here.
Anorexia, and anorexic thinking, makes no sense.
You make no sense. I'm pegging you as anorexic. We will love you, until you can love yourself.
I know that if I skip one meal, I'm going to want to skip two, and then I'll try for three, which sends me skipping days. After I start that, it's a day on, day off, and I want to do more. Before I know it it's two, and three isn't too much longer, the hunger's worse the forth day, might as well go five, and if i'm going to do five days I'd rather do a week.
Every meal that voice in my head, the ED one, speaks up, tells me not to eat, that I don't need the food, that I should save my money since money is tight anyway. I know if I listen to it once, I'll want to listen to it again.
In the beginning the voice screamed at me to skip multiple days, so I focused on eating once every day. It told me to throw up everything I ate- giving that up was the hardest. Then it told me to skip breakfast and lunch, so I made sure to have lunch and dinner. You get the idea.
It fluctuates. It doesn't get better all at once- it won't. It will stay with you for years after this. I made the decision to fight against this October 29, 2008. Before that, I'd kind of tried, but I wasn't really committed to it. I starting seeing my current therapist November of 2009 and was back sliding into ED. It was until May of 2010 that I made the decision to go to a treatment facility and received the help I needed.
Since then I haven't purged- [OMG that's.... eighteen months :) makes me happy] but I have had days where my intake was low. I've been very careful to tell my treatment team when I am struggling and can estimate for them how much I am short by when I think about it for a few moments.
There was about a month gap between my decision to go to treatment and actually getting there. That was really hard; I had to focus on just making it there. I know you're set to go so don't lose hope. Keep your goal (treatment) in mind!
when i eat soup my stomach hurts but not so bad..its the solid foods that hurt so bad idk why. and wen i blend my fruit it doesnt hurt but when i eat it whole and solid it hurts sooo bad.
