I was in an eating disorder unit until just under 4 weeks ago but because of reasons I won't go into I took an overdose and ended up being moved to a phyciatric unit whist in the eating disorder unit every thing was weighed measured and so on I was doing well and started to gain weight now with everything that has happened and the fact that where I am now they don't understand or know ANYTHING about eating disorders 4 weeks ago I was on a 2000 cal a day plan didn't quite manage that but I was getting there and getting close since the move I have dropped 3kg about 1kg a week on average I am down to 500 cals a day panicking about everything I eat panicking if I don't eat I am 171cm and 37.4kg my bmi to my knowledge has not before dropped below 13 - until now I am walking more and more each day this monster has a grip on me again I am constantly battling in my head but it keeps winning
I am so scared I don't know what to do I do want to get better but don't feel safe to even try and increase my calories now in here but I'm also scared of staying at 500 and burning around half walking and pacing all the time
if I carry on I will probably die if I try and increase I'm at risk of refeeding syndrome which they just don't understand and think doing my bloods once a week will monitor that
if I'm walking off half the calories I eat -am I only actually having 250- do I need to eat more to have 500 a day (re-eat them so to speak) or will that mean I am having 750 and gain more weight and cause refeeding syndrome sorry if this is a stupid question i can't think straight at all right now and don't really know what to do for the best there trying to get me back to an eating disorder unit but struggling to find a bed and doesn't look like they will any time soon
I would really appreciate any help with this im feeling ill weak and tired I'm worried because I know my bmr would have dropped significantly and don't know what my intake needs to be to at least stablize
