Celexa didn't do a thing for me and abilify is usually taken to make a antidepressant work better, but you have to be careful with that because in underweight people it can cause seizures. My doc almost flipped when he found out I was on it at my worst time. Have you tried good old Prozac? Of Effexor - super awesome but only helped for a short while.

I've been on celexa before. I'm bipolar and it made me psycho manic and they had to take me off it. Hopefully you find something that works for you!!

I have been on zoloft and maxed out the dosage which is why he thought maybe cymbalta. Maxed that out and have gotten worse. Prior to this I was on effexor xr which worked for a while and then stopped. Tried Prozac and had horrible side effects. So he wants to try this now with the idea that we will have to up to the max and Possibly add ambilify or something else he mentioned which is actually an antipsychotic used for bipolar but he thinks would be

I'm sorry if I'm barging in on the conversation. I have been taking Abilify for quite some time along with a whole bunch of other meds. It just makes me so sleepy that I want to get off of it!

Hey, I didn't know that Abilify causes seizures sometimes too. That's good to know.

dont give up, it took me a long time to get the right mix of meds, hang in there.

I've been on Celexa for three years. also taking 40mg. i haven't had a problem. I'm Bipolar and I can still feel my swings, but they're not as harsh as they were before. I have never been on abilify, but i'm not opposed to it. if my doctor prescribed it, i would use it.

It took me a few different meds to get the right one and it's so worth it!

Would like to know why you're on it. I was on both. Abilify was great until tjhey switched me. Then I stood at the bathroom door, peed my pants. then went back to bed/ A nurse at the hospital witnessed this. It was horrible for me, i was really embarrassed
So they said it was for weight gain.
No luck there obviously. Whats your story?
