Bad Weekend

This has been an awful weekend...I've spent 2 days, shopping for clothes with my aunt...It's awful, as it wasn't enough, trying clothes and have to look myself at the mirror lots of times, look myself awful on the clothes...I have to listen my aunt tell me everytime I try something, how fat I look, how ugly I am, and how I make every piece of clothing ugly... I can't stand it, It makes trying to recover harder...She makes it so hard...

I'm sorry you had to deal with these ignorant comments of your aunt. If I can give you some advice, never ever go shopping with her again. You are not fat or ugly. You are a human being who deserves love and respect.

I agree with karrin :) you are most definately not fat and ugly :) are you sure she was exactly saying those things...because I know when my eating disorder was bad I took everything, anyone said, and turned into that they were saying I was "fat and ugly" when it was just simply something else.
but if she was actually saying that, maybe she is jealous of you, because I think you are pretty :) and you shouldn't go around people like that

Your aunt sounds like a very toxic person and you would be wise to limit your relationship with her. Exposure to comments like those will keep you from becoming healthy. It's not as simple as her being rude to you; what she is doing is causing you harm.
Take good care. I hope you can find a way to not be near people like her too much!!! (((((Hugs)))))

i am so sorry that you had to go through that this weekend, that had to be so hard. it makes recovery that much harder when you have other negative voices saying those very false things. you are so beautiful in your picture...you are not fat or ugle and i love those stylish glasses, ive been looking for new ones!!! be strong and try your best to block those negative comments out. prayers

you are beautiful, not fat and ugly. your aunt is a dangerous toxic person to be with. is there any way you can live somewhere eles? trying on clothes is hard for everyone esp. those of us with ed. hearing those comments all your life is abusive and mean. i had a similar childhood. it does become ingrained in yourself. try repeating to yourself first then maybe the mirror, i am beautiful. you may not believe it in the begginning, but dont give up.
