Any one else diabetic too?

I've always known that diabetes is a possible side effect of bulimia, now I find myself in that situation. I've struggles with both anorexia and bulimia for 30 years. I'm only 37. Now I'm trying to "control" both of them. And having a very hard time with it. If the ED is out of control then my blood sugar levels are out of control. I can't take a shot if I'm gonna purge, then they drop too low.
Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

me too and im totaly pissed off ..been diabetic since 12 im 34 now ..rollercoaster is the word ..i have bulimia ..had anorexia in past in fact iv had everything it seems . thoughts from me ..yeah iv had enough and want rid of it..iv only just had out patient treatment for the ed its tok me 3 years for me to be heard.. iv had an ed for as long as i can remember maybe age 8 or 9

I want to be rid of it too. I'm so bloody tired. Insurance will not pay for residential treatment. I am beginning to feel as if i will die with this thing, or from it.

gosh diabetic and ed is a night mare.... i have no advise. get help? have you ever gotten help? this is so dangerous...

Was inpatient when I was 14, so not for a long time. My pdoc and my diabetic doc want me in residential treatment. We have nothing local, and my insurance won't pay anyway.

Okay, I have to say that it pisses me off when I hear about insurance companies that won't pay. This is a serious medical issue. Grrrrr.

Anyway ... is there any outpatient treatment that is local that you could start with? I'm OP, and it really is helping me, although it is a slow process. And can anyone help you fight the insurance companies to get IP, like a doctor's office? My sister in law works for an insurance co. and they have an appeal process. If someone appeals a denial, they go to the Appeals Board, which is made up of employees, and the Board hears their case. Your insurance co. probably has a similar process; they just don't advertise it.
