i know what PTSD feels like. i was diagnosed with it a year after i left my mom's house. when i'd flashback then, i'd think i was back in the situation. i'd start screaming, crying, etc. i would re-live EVERYTHING. this feels different. so different. i know where i am. i know it's not happening again. but it's like the memory is on repeat in my head and i can't shut it off.
my therapist specializes in trauma. unfortunately, my phone was dead on tuesday. the driver for the medical transport company couldn't call me to buzz him in my building. i missed my appointment. i was also unable to reschedule. my next appointment is the 31st.
my sister thinks i am depressed. we watched my favorite movie yesterday and i didn't smile, sing, laugh, anything. i ate yesterday only because my dad would have flipped if i didn't. i don't feel like me. at all..... nothing is fun. nothing feels right. someone help me escape from the hell in my head.
Try scheduling things outside of your home. That has helped me so much in being able to keep them from happening.
