I think you should work with your dietician, you can add higher calorie foods... and therefore not eat more per sey...
there is a way for you to have both... good luck and fight hard...
I agree with Karrin, drinking calories could help and higher calorie foods.
Also, just be honest with your dietition, explain what you have done to us and I am sure he/she will understand and try their best to help
