I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I am always waching the watch to make sure I do stuff on time.
I am always worried that I have forgotten to do stuff.
My current goal is to become more organised I would appreciate all the help I can get.
When I have an appointment somewhere, I try to go to that location and time the drive to see how long it takes and adjust my departure. For example, I used to live by Oak Park in Overland Park. My job was in Olathe. It took me about 15-20 minutes to get there. Then I moved to Overland Park, half an hour from where I USED to live. I drove to my job to see how long it would take to get there from a different location. On the highway, took about twenty minutes. On the regular road, anywhere between twenty minutes to half an hour, depending on traffic. I had to go through TWENTY SEVEN INTERSECTIONS going from 95th and Mission to 135th and Blackbob. That's a lot of bloody intersections! Say I had to be at work at two. I would leave at a quarter to one, to allow for traffic. I'd get to work 45 minutes early, but that's fine. Hope that helps somehow.
