Dry eyes is an eye disease caused by decreased tear production or increased tear film evaporation. Symptoms include burning and a sandy-gritty eye irritation that gets worse as the day goes on. The symptoms are often caused by a loss of water from the tears that results in tears that are too "salty" or hypertonic.
RECENTLY I HAVE FELT HEAD SYMPTOMS LIKE DIZZY FEELING BUT SEEMS TO CENTER AROUND THE EYES WHICH SEEM SORE AND SENSITIVE TO THE LIGHT. IT IS DRIVING ME NUTS THE HEAD SYMPTOMS ARE BASICALLY HEAD PRESSURE AND DIZZY TYPE FEELING AND THE EYES FEEL LIKE THEY ARE PART OF IT. ANY HELP OUT THERE

Hi stevebo,i am kind of going through same thing,eyes hurt sensitive to light head or ear pressure can not tell any more so much going on,dizzy, is it dry eye or migraine i do not know i am lost,tried some eye drops and tylenol helped a little but still there wish I could help you but if i figure it out,i let you know you do the same , here is hoping,squarley

I lay back when I can with cool clothes on my eyes and that seams to help. I try not to take medication. But when I do it has to be ibprofin as I can't take tylenol at all. i put more lubricant on the eyes too it seams to help. But a royal pain. I am no expert at all. This is how I cope and neat to learn now to do more then cope though.

You may have vertigo, it sounds like some of the symptoms, if so you need to get an antibiotic as soon as possible and sleep a lot or else severe damage could occur.Take care!

I have this condition with my RA. I have been to my optho constantly because of this and it is sooo hard to get rid of!! I love sight in my left eye. He put me on prednisole drops and refresh drops and after like 2 weeks it cleared up!! Good luck!

My ophthalmologist recommended Refresh Optive, its otc. Be careful of the dry eyes, had them for years and ended up getting an ulcer on my cornea last Jan, almost lost the sight in that eye. Just diagnoses with RA in Oct-direct connection. I had a gp, optometrist, ophthalmologist all stumped about why my eyes would wack out. Now it makes sense. Good luck, and the drops do seem to work. Hi Stevbo.. I feel your pain... Are you ensuring that you take proper breaks from your computer and phone screen? I find this helps me wonders. I also squeeze my eyes shut from time to time for 30 second periods at a time (like while im on the bus or on the phone) Here's where I get many of my dry eye tips: www.allaboutdryeye.com/blog ...
