Dry Eyes Support Group
Dry eyes is an eye disease caused by decreased tear production or increased tear film evaporation. Symptoms include burning and a sandy-gritty eye irritation that gets worse as the day goes on. The symptoms are often caused by a loss of water from the tears that results in tears that are too "salty" or hypertonic.
My eye doctor has me on Restasis and Oasis eye drops. He said I should always use eye drops without preservatives. The problem is that the non preservative eye drops I have tried burn my eyes. Has anyone else had this problem?
The very first drop I put in my eyes, you could really feel the "lubricant".
I have been using them about 3 times a day for the last 4 months, and really enjoy them.
I am not sure if they have a preservative, since the bottle is not right in front of me at the moment.
