As most of you probably know, The Bahamas was recently hit by a category 4 hurricane - Joaquin. It avoided the capital of Nassau (where I am), but so many other islands were not so lucky. A lot of people are still waiting for word from their loved ones since phones are down and there is no electricity. Relief efforts started today, but it is difficult as some of the airplane runways cannot be used. Today it looks like they used boats, sea planes and helicopters to get supplied to the people.
