Dizziness is the sensation of instability. Vertigo refers to dizziness with a sensation of motion. Vertigo is more likely than other types of dizziness to be associated with nausea, vomiting, or double vision, to occur even when lying down, and to feel better with the eyes closed. I have to go for VNG testing next week. They say it's a two-hour test. Has anyone had it done? How bad is it? I'm a wee bit nervous about it, but am hoping that I get some answers.
It's a 2-1/2 hour drive to get there. Will I be able to drive home after the test? If not, how long would I have to wait before trying to drive? My husband will be with me, but he doesn't drive well in unfamiliar areas.
I would appreciate your input, especially if you have had VNG testing done.

your husband should be prepared to drive back. you may feel dizzy after the test. the test itself isnt to bad, but a little irritating. a lot of head movements and different positions. this test is very necessary to determine what's going on. try to stay calm and get it over with. good luck ,.Keep us posted!
