Dizziness is the sensation of instability. Vertigo refers to dizziness with a sensation of motion. Vertigo is more likely than other types of dizziness to be associated with nausea, vomiting, or double vision, to occur even when lying down, and to feel better with the eyes closed. I am new here. I have been dealing with vertigo for over five years. I don't know what brought it on; I have had all of the tests; I do the exercises; my doctors say, "Yep you have positional vertigo. Someday it will go away, but there is really anything to do." I have spent so much time hanging my head off the bed; setting up; bending over; flopping from side to side; and lately bending over to place my head on a pillow trying to get the stuff in my head back in place. Had a friend send me a new exercise recently; I thanked her for helping find a new way to fall on my ass. I have come to the conclusion this is my way of life. Not bitter just learning to deal with this new phase.

You didn't say if you agreed with your doctor or not, or if the Eply maneuver works at all. What do you think?
I was mostly fine this winter but the last couple of weeks has me losing confidence in my future prospects. Part of my problem was going to the dentist again. I had my mouth wide open for a replacement filling and my jaw has been popping and cracking for days. That really sends my particular vertigo on overdrive. But it was getting worse a week before that too. Like you said, it comes and goes on its own schedule.
