I am with you on that. I have been doing this for 3 years now. The anxiety is awful because you never know when it will hit. They are telling me that nothing can be done.

You have my symptathy. I have suffered like this for at least 10 years, but it seems the older I'm getting the worse it's getting. The anxiety of it all really gets me down, to the point where I don't leave my house some days. I get anxious which makes me more dizzy and the more dizzy I get the more anxious I get. It's a horrible cycle which isn't easy to deal with :((

Yes Jules thats exactly it sometimes I'm terrified of leaveing my home, and then somedays I'm terrifyed of staying because then i would be left alone.

I have been dealing with 24/7 dizziness for over 12 years now. It is a result of a virus that attacked my vestibular system and it is weakening as I age and I am only 43. I have been told that I will be in a wheelchair by my 50's. I also deal with anxiety and depression and cannot work or get disability even though I have been to two of the best facilities in the country and have been diagnosed. However, I have decided not to let it rule the rest of my life and have begun exercising and trying to eat better. Keep your chin up.... there are a lot of us out there and we need to stick together!

I have had the dizzies for years and years now. I thought it had improved over the last year or so but it does seem to be returning. I have always been told it is anxiety. I am not at all anxious at this moment in time, quite the opposite, but they are returning so that puts paid to that. I have noticed that when I sleep badly it is much much worse. I have had insomnia for many years, I get about a couple of hours sleep each night then I toss and turn until getting up and feel exhausted. And then the dizzies start and stay all day. I tried yesterday to ignore it and went for a 45 mins work but it was bloody awful, I couldn't look straight ahead as it made me really dizzy, so I walked looking at the ground. I was glad to get back home. Its such a grim thing to have as you are not understood. Maybe some of you others have a problem sleeping and this could be exaserbating the problem.

I have been dealing with dizziness and balance issues since I fell and hit my head in May, 2009. My kind of vertigo is strange. Instead of being triggered by movement and the structures in the ears, I have ocular vertigo. I can sit perfectly still, but if I look from one place to another, say from my laptop to my tv, without moving a muscle, I will get dizzy and have to close my eyes for a moment. Also, if I see groups of things moving, like the leaves on a tree, or a train or group of cars passing in front of me, or even snowflakes, I will be dizzy. Apparently, since my mTBI, my eyes try to focus on every one of the items that are moving one at a time instead of looking at it as a group. The only way I can stop it is by closing my eyes. It is a real pain, because I don't know what I'll be seeing when I'm out walking or driving, so I don't do much of that. I live alone, and sometimes worry that I'll get so dizzy that I'll fall again. I'm still hoping that this, and the other problems I have since the fall I took, will go away, but my neurologist says there's a good chance that it could stay this way. It's crazy! God Bless. Kathy
