Dizziness is the sensation of instability. Vertigo refers to dizziness with a sensation of motion. Vertigo is more likely than other types of dizziness to be associated with nausea, vomiting, or double vision, to occur even when lying down, and to feel better with the eyes closed. and to answer your original question. i have gone to one for my neck. it was the main reason for going to my first chiro .
years ago.
i have a backward curvature of my cervical spine.
kyphosis
it is tricky to adjust my neck b/c of that and b/c of the tight muscles that have been that way for so many decades.
my more recent chiro , has several options, besides the type of manipulation you mean.
sometimes i need that kind, but sometimes , a different approach.
for me, massage helps tremendously
and also.............the first time I had vertigo, my chiro , who is not just a chiropractor but also a teacher (of it) and neurologist.
he helped my vertigo , despite my reluctance to let him, by putting me in a spinning chair and other maneuvers that seemed like the opposite of what I should need, but it worked.
