Dizziness & Vertigo Support Group
Dizziness is the sensation of instability. Vertigo refers to dizziness with a sensation of motion. Vertigo is more likely than other types of dizziness to be associated with nausea, vomiting, or double vision, to occur even when lying down, and to feel better with the eyes closed. If you are a frequent sufferer of dizziness or vertigo, join the group and find support.

As far as that particular website, "dizziness-and-balance.com" by "MD" Timothy C. Hain -- it seems like interesting and important information; but if you look at his body of work closely, you may notice it's quite opinionated and selective.
I read his biased musings years ago, and looking back, I regret having allowed anything there to enter my search for a cause. I was gonna rant and rave about how wrongheaded he is regarding vertigo and "TMJ and TMD," but it's not worth continuing his negative vibe. If Hain has legitimate info about BPPV and whatever else he may know about, then he should stick to that and otherwise shut the eff up. His self-affirming, contradictory nonsense certainly caused me confusion and a delay in diagnosing my own case of vertigo due to bruxism and TMJ. Read his opinions and commentary with a giant grain of salt; then go read everyone else's, too.
You have gone through this for awhile now, what is the the cause of your vertigo, if I may ask. just wondering?
He has managed to be migraine free now for several years.
For him, his secret, is a liter of Perrier water every day.
I am now on a quest to discover cause too.
I think there is some kind of nerve involvement related to
neck surgery triggered by a procedure performed by a physical therapist. I am just in the early stages of this quest. Things I have been reading, including this blog are depressing. Many undefined causes and lack of cures. But then again maybe this blog is curren sufferers and there have been cures but the cured no longer post.
