Have you been to see an Ear Nose and Throat doctor...they can do tests to make sure it is not inner ear related. A LOT of doctors DO just chalk it up to anxiety when they is really an underlying issue. I know from personal experience. It took a long time to get the doctor to take me seriously...but turns out I DO have inner ear damage. Anxiety is mainly coming FROM my dizziness.

do you always feel like this or just when your thinking about it? What about when your mind is on something else? Ive noticed that when I am talking to someone and not thinking about feeling dizzy (off balance) I realize I felt fine. So I do believe mine is due to anxity.

I feel the same way with my dizziness....just don't feel "right." I feel drowsy.....anyway, it makes me anxious sometimes. I have learned by now not to worry but I can't seem to control the anxiety. It creeps up on me. I know nothing bad is going to happen but still......Do you think Valium would help you?

I dont like meds so Im trying some natural things to keep my anxity down. I dont think theres anything wrong with meds, I just get anxious about taking them so I try other things first. Im actually doing a lot better sense I know its just anxity making me feel this way and that theres nothing wrong with me. I just have to remind myself Im healthy and Im ok.

i too don't feel the spinning but feel uncomfortable and feel off. Not all the time but right now i don't feel great. I can do things but uncomfortable.

Ericon, I feel the same way many times. I try to do my coping skills and avoid my triggers, that I know make it worse. I have been dx with menieres dx 10 yrs ago. The vertigo was terrible, but for the most part don't get the vertigo anymore but still have the dizziness and imbalance feeling. Mine is here to stay and I just figure I must live with it and keep a positive attitude and push myself to be more physical active. Good luck in finding what works best for you.....

I have the same issue, but I also get room-spinning dizzy. I have an inner ear issue and that coupled with my anxiety is a disaster. I've found that if I hold on to something stable and stare at one object for about 15 seconds that it helps. I agree with bmason, I'm not a fan of drugs, I feel like they just had a placebo affect on me. You might want to make an appoint with either a ear, nose and throat dr or a neurologist. They might be able to pinpoint your issue.
