Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
In re-reading the topic and all the responses thus far, I find myself giggling. All I can visualize is the Peanuts characters...Lucy screaming "EUUUUU! DOG LIPS! DOG LIPS! I'VE BEEN KISSED BY DOG LIPS!"
But I do know, when and when my 1st post- divorce man kisses me, he best not wipe off my kisses making me feel like I got "dog lips" ! It will be the last of him. He'll wish he was seeing stars instead!
My last kiss, uuuuuggggghhhh, was when my x was still in the house and I was tolerating a good-bye kiss but it was all I could do to keep the back of my hand from my lips is a desperate attempt to erase it. When my counselor explained he was starting to do something called erotomania, I quit even letting him kiss me good bye. Erotomania - when the breakfast I cooked on Saturday, and had cooked on Saturday for 18 years, all of the sudden became a great big, special breakfast for him; when the tightly closed cold-ass kiss he got turned into a great big, passionate, I love you so much hug and kiss . . . well, it had to stop.
As for the wiping off the kiss- that's a bit different but not sure I'm qualified to make a judgement on it.
