I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...

Good morning, Peeps!
This just in from "The Maryland Three" -- that being jaycpea, SDinMD and myself:

On Tuesday evening, we had the great good pleasure of welcoming a new member to our DivorceCare group. As always, we passed along the information of how the three of us met here on DailyStrength and how good it has been for all of us to also meet in person.

Following our suggestion, NEWJOY77 joined this group today and we ask all of you to welcome her to our "DS Family" here. While she has NOT been married for 20+ years, we KNOW that this is the best place for her to work through what it happening in her life right now and trust that all of our friends here will do their best to lend support, render sage advice and make her laugh when she needs it most!

Welcome to the group. I also just joined within the past week and have found such sound advice and help. It feels great to have support from people that actually understand what I am going through. So welcome and I hope you find the same comfort as I have.

Welcome newjoy77...this is a great group of people. I came here a little over 2 years ago after getting divorced for the second time to the same man. I thought my world had ended. The members here helped me through the worst part of my life. Now 2 years later...I have a great job, a cute little house by the ocean and met a really great guy...life is good. Hang in here with us...along with counselling, divorce care and the folks here...you will get through this...your stronger than you think...Big Hugs...Kathy

PS...I'm a bit jealous...I would love to meet our members in person...maybe someday!

Hey sadfornow...I'm from Canada too...only I live on the opposite side. I live on Vancouver Island. We have one of our show cows in Toronto right now...she's at the Royal...last year she won Grand Champion in her class. Its a pretty big deal. Big Hugs...Kathy

Well, I did a better job of getting together with the Northwest group. I'm sure that is because I wasn't swamped with work and a new job while I was there. I will get it together and when I do, we will plan a get together for the east coast group! Maybe spring?
