Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...

I am praying for you. I will continue too. Your not alone. Try to take the advice of the people on here. Since they have been through it and came out the side. Were with you. Big hugs
be thankful that the POS, that he is, has not killed as he wants you dead so that he can have it all
you are better away from that evil in your life, it was always there in him just hidden
now it is not
(((Hugs)))
I once said my ex lied and my MNL screamed at me her son NEVER lies! LOL
Money was so important to them while family was more important to me.
Because of that, get a lawyer NOW. My ex's brother was a lawyer, and 4 of his cousins and his uncle. You get the idea.
Get therapy, find attorney and get moving.
We are all behind you and wish we could do more but we do understand what you are going through.
You wrote " I am NEVER going to be okay." THAT is what most of us here call "Stinkin' Thinking!" and you need to start slapping yourself whenever those kind of self-defeating thoughts pervade! If you continually tell yourself that kind of crap, you are digging a hole for yourself. Please, honey, get busy and find yourself a therapist AND an attorney. I know how hard it is to motivate to do anything at this stage, but you have got to save yourself! Most of us have been exactly where you are right now -- and we all lived to tell about it!
Indeed, some confident PhD holders can be emotionally immature having their overbearing Jewish mothers dictate the lives of their adult sons. The character of Howard Wolowitz on "Big Bang" is an example who hasn't cut his mother's ties. You obviously might have married a "momma's boy" but your LEGAL battle is with your spouse.
I know it doesn't seem so at the moment, but you are way better off out of there.
As the others have already said, now it's time to get smart, get lawyered up, find a good therapist, and get what you are entitled to.
love and hugs
