Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
i'm doing ok, couldn't reach my lawyer at all last week, i'll be calling him again tomorrow,
two my daughters away for the weekend, went up New Hampshire for the long weekend, we had such a good time, they are truly my world, life would be nothing without them, so much fun everytime i'm with them, as soon as we got there my 11 year old says dad, when the courts ask me i'm going to tell them I want to live with you,
I was floored, I told her honey please don't worry about that stuff lets just have some fun and we did, they went home tonight after my older girls hockey practice.
my son also came to hockey, then we did dinner when I dropped them off I got out to help get there bags out of the car, my son walked up driveway to take barrels out so I was still talking to him i'm on sidewalk and she comes out and stands on porch and just stares me down like a wolf, I gave it right back to her for maybe 15 seconds (felt longer) and just got in car yelled bye to my son and pulled away, i'm not giving her any reason to call police cause she will...
I was feeling a bit alone tonight , can't sleep, just miss the kids so much..
thanks for checking in, made me feel good. :)
he is also going to take her back to modify the divorce agreement so I can take my 12 year old to hockey when it's not my day to see her, it's either that or she does not go, and she's far too good not to go.
if anything it's going to ruffle her feathers bigtime.
had my girls again tonight, one had hockey, so we hung out there then went to grab a bite to eat,
I have to say those kids laugh so much with me, were just a bunch of crazies when were together having a ball for ourselves, I don't think they do that type of stuff with the X, everytime I text one or call the other there alone, it just breaks my heart, there such fun kids to be around, if they go the park with there friends, they don't mind me coming at all just sitting on the bench as long as were close.
my 12 year old's aunt took her to the mall, she dreaded going I asked her why, she's like really dad, what if I see someone I know and i'm with my aunt, I cracked up, then said we'll you have no problem going with me ? she said that's different your cool my friends like you a lot.. lol
that's the best thing ever to hear ! her friends think it's so cool cause we have a special hand shake we do, I go on all there field trips, camp out with school etc.. I know all of them very well..
it's so special...
i'm feeling pretty good today, hope it stays with me for a while if not forever....
I can't help thinking she's just trying to make things as difficult as possible for you, and you are showing her how a real man responds (not reacts) to what she's doing. Your kids can see what she's doing, and they don't like it either. She's making her own troubles down the track there.
I'm so glad to hear you and the kids are getting along so well, and making some fun in the middle of all this heartache. You're a great dad.
I hope the courts see sense in your case and don't prolong the agony.
love and hugs

Push for the sale of the house - I hope you make a million on it!
Here in Calif. it was really easy when I asked to have the house put up for sale. My ex was a couple of months behind and the judge ordered it without asking any questions.
Good luck
The devil's advocate says, IF you indeed want to create a strategy of carrying out plans "to bring her and her friend down", it surly has already been implemented . Your clever lawyer set-up this fiasco expecting her failure in paying the mortgage would be realized in a matter of time.
Do as you please in dropping the ax, but paying $$ to a lawyer to order the sale of the house is utterly CRAZY in my opinion. You've acknowledged there will be no/null monetary benefit from the sale of the house for you, your FICA is already seriously damaged, and the house value is up size down. Most divorced people at this point, allow the house to go into foreclosure, stay as long as they can, and just abandon the house all together walking away and letting the bank do what they can .
PS: I'm under the impression, age 18 ends child support. However , If the child becomes full-time college student then child support continues as a obligation.
