Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
This is seriously off-topic, but I thought I would start here.
I am going to Maryland for a 10-day visit in mid-September and will need to rent a car. Of course, the first place I checked was Priceline.com where you can name your own price. It's a "bidding" process but when you submit your bid, you have to put the full amount of the proposed rental on your credit card. If they don't find a company to accept your bid, your money is refunded back to your credit card.
There are also some things in their contract (i.e., it states that you may be charged a Security Deposit by the rental car company at the time of the rental. Again, if you bring the car back, that money is refunded. They actually just put a "hold" on putting the amount through until you bring the car back.) I don't have a problem with that, but I just wondered if anyone else has used Priceline for renting a car (or any other travel-related expense) who could give me some input.
I haven't rented a car for decades so this is all like new to me. Thanks!

I'm so excited for your upcoming trip! Are you flying to Maryland and THEN renting a car or are you driving?
