As they say its all over but the paperwork. How we react is about where we are. If you are mourning the loss still, it is hard. I will say this, if that is the end of of the deal, getting the paperwork and you are done, be grateful that it is done. For whether we wanted to divorce or not, you can not stop it. IF it was to be, better to have it legal and done. There are people on this board that have had the divorce going on for years.. whether they can't do it or it is a legal issue, that is not a good way to live. In most cases, most states in a long term marriage, a year is about what it takes on average. I think a year is a good amount of time to a. accept it, and b. get your legal issues done. For many, there is still a house to be sold and legal issues that are not resolved.. that is when it is tough. I am grateful I did not have that.. I am fortunate, for the rest you, my wish you get it all done.

Some of you have heard my analogy I use all the time, but for the newbies here.. Life is Highway.. you can look back by using those rear view and side mirrors now and then, but when you drive the car in real life, you spend 80 percent looking at where you are going, not where you have been. You take a detour now and then, hit the gravel, have a flat tire, get lost, stop and see the sights, even get pulled over for bad behavior and speeding, but in the end you are moving forward with a destination. For me that destination is a happy and full life, moving forward, driving my own car. My wish for all of you, and especially Lauren9, drive on, and drive your own life and your own car.. wear your seatbelt, and check those mirrors.. but life life to the fullest with JOY! Best to you.
