Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
It's great that you can see a therapist -- keep going. My therapist is helping me deal with a controlling wife as we navigate the battle over the fate of our marriage. And getting it for free is great! Therapy can help you in many ways, not just the marriage. It helps you learn how to out YOUR happiness at the top of your agenda. HUGS!
You wrote "He told me last nite I am going to have a hard time with a boyfriend because I neglect the man in my life."
Why in the HELL are you still talking to this man? He is a complete and total jerk. AND if his "new life" is so wonderful, why in the Hell is he talking to you? YOU HAVE GOT TO CUT THIS OUT!
Remember to ask yourself, "Does it hurt when I do that (meaning talking to him)?" Of course it does! So DON'T DO THAT!
Long story, but I kept them in that school and started calling his bluffs as when he registered them, then he told me they'd have to come out, so I told him to take back the registration. He was shocked because I wasn't getting upset. I'd decided I'd home school them before they'd go to that horrible public school in a nearby neighborhood and I'd just take them to social events at their school so they'd still have their friends. He made my kids a wreck.
Don't fall for his traps. He's just a jerk and she'll find out soon enough.
