I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...

I became a Grandmother yesterday!!

My son and daughter-in-law had a baby boy yesterday at 5:30. It was a joyous day! He is adorable (I'm not prejudiced in the least!! Tonight at Church, several people asked if my DIL's parents would be coming and I said no. Several people said, "Wow, you are so lucky to be the only Grandparent around." I thought that was funny that they already know that my son's Dad is not in the picture!! I'm posting a picture!!

Yes and no. That's a long story but for all practical purposes, yes. I'm struggling with posting the pic. I may have to do it at my computer in my office.

Oh boy! A grandson! Since my only child was a girl, when my first grandchild came, I was TRILLED that it was a boy! I had so much fun getting down in the dirt with him and playing with his trucks and cars -- taught him to fish, bought him his own pint-sized pitchfork to use at the barn (which he promptly handed to me and said, "Mops, you use this one. I need the BIG ONE!" )

That "little boy" will turn 21 next Tuesday. Hard to believe how fast the time has gone.

I am celebrating with you, my friend. What a wonderful gift!

If DS refuses to upload your photo, the file may be too large! You might have to use photo-editing software to get it down to size (size restrictions are posted on the photos page I think). Pretty simple process. And then again, it can just be the time of day you try to upload. I've had it give me hiccups before and an hour later, the photos post just fine.
Keep trying! We want to see that baby!

My boys are only 18, 20 and 21 and I already think about having a little one around again. Alax, I am still in the warning them NOT to make me a grandmother stage!!
