Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
happy anniversary to me! <3

For some reason my kindle won't let me type in my journsl so I'll do it here.
Is today the 10th? I believe it is. And I went all day without remembering it's my divorce anniversary!
yep it was 2 years ago I became free of my narcissistic, whore-chasing, lying, sex hungry, ass of a husband. The same one who proclaimed to love his wife and kids more than anything in the world.
Well it shows that in this short time of 2 years I have found what love really means. It doesn't have to be in the arms of a lover. It doesn't have anything to do with the amount of gifts and/or money you spend on someone. It has nothing to do with those 3 little words uttered every day.
It has everything to do with who is there for you when you need them. It has everything to do with how you feel looking into the eyes of your first grandchild. It has everything to do with those little arms circling you as much as those tiny arms will reach. Or that little head just resting on you. It has everything to do with your adult children having your back and being there when mama feels low. Just giving mama a hug or a shoulder. Knowing she'll be fine. It's just a moment.
True love isn't story books. It isn't like the movies. Or like the soap operas. It doesn't have to be a "soul-mate" encounter. It can be every day normal things. The difference is that it's more peaceful. You don't sit and wonder if your Mr. Right is being faithful. You don't doubt every other word out of his mouth as the truth. You have a calmness that that isn't your life any more.
Life is complicated. But not as complicated as it was when i was married.
.
I live alone now. I rather like it. I babysit my adorable grandson 4 days a week. I adore him!
Maybe there will be another man in my future. I believe so. I have tons of undamaged love left in me. If it is meant to be, then God will help with that.
For now, I will live! I will enjoy the life I have now. I do Not have contact with exass. And that is awesome! I enjoy the world. I smile at the little things and laugh at the big. I look at things with new eyes. Wide open ones.
I'm not a spring chicken. Somewhere along the way I hit the 60 mark. Lol. Although on a light note I don't look my age. Health is normal for this body at this age. Little aches here and there. But I kept chugging along. I refuse to give up.
That is my motto. I refuse to give up. Life continues after a divorce. It didn't kill me. A little wounded in the heart but time heals all wounds, right? My heart still beats. I am sure it can still love. It loves all those who have supported me these last two years. It will continue to love for many many more.
That love is extended to my friends here. This site has helped more than any if your can know. Many thanks to each and every one of you.

I had gone to the grocery store. When I wheeled my cartback to my car I just stool there a minute. A few spacesaway a Tesla Cyber truck was parked. I had seen it on theroad a few times for a few seconds. But not close up.It looked like it belonged to 2126 and not 2026. I wasgoing to take a picture of the car but the owners cameback and drove away. It was an ordinary middle age...

Well ...seems like you're doing fine
Good for you !!!
love and hugs
