I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...

I always think I have seen it all when it comes to my ex and then a holiday comes along and more comes my way. My birthday was Thursday and my MIL and BIL asked the boys and I over to celebrate it and Easter. During Church services my ex texts my sons and asked them to drive 30 miles to the new gf's house for Easter dinner. I just thought MIL and BIL didn't tell ex. No, they invited him and so he knew he was inviting our sons during my birthday celebration. He never ceases to amaze me. The boys didn't go until after but I still had a hard time believing that he cares so little about my feelings. I know I shouldn't be surprised!

Ohhh Happy Birthday drtexdi...lol...it never ceases to amaze me how the ex's for some reason hold themselves in such high regard that they would actually think we would want there crumbs. Big Hugs...Kathy

Happy Belated Birthday Drtexdi. A celebration of you is well warranted and should continue to be celebrated the month through. Be good to yourself. Find joy where you can, do not allow him to steal any more from you.

If nothing else, in case you had any doubts, your ex is a still &#@%$ and more so as of this weekend. His family too.

Drtexdi, I had to laugh at that idea myself . The ex's offer to rent his house to you, sounds like a bad risk down the road. Heaven forbids if his living attempt with his present gf fails .... he'll be asking you to move out when his time is up. His having a 3rd gf in a year is pitiful. Making deals with people like that is like shooting craps! Tell him for the heck of it, you'll take $5000 retainer fee for any eviction less than a year as a deposit before move in. That shut him up!
