I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
Being alone doesn't have to mean alone. There are friends, relatives and even groups that you can become a part of and form some real good relationships through. Church groups, meet ups, even foundations where you volunteer.
I'm 4 years out - have gone on a couple of "dates" - but none worked out. I'm torn, like I have to force myself to get out there, but at the same time - don't want to put up with anyone's crap. I'm a in betweener...
Being alone is fine for me, and it can be for you too. Love your in-laws, they sound like mine! Your a lucky girl.
It will all work out - you'll see. Try to get yourself to the point of acceptance, like CGK always says. It's a good place to be.
