Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
For all you ladies who are dating or are considering it in the future, I would like to recommend a book called, "How to Spot a Dangerous Man Before You Get Involved" by Sandra Brown. This book has some very helpful infomation about protecting yourself from getting involved with unhealthy men. It's not just about physically dangerous men, but covers those who are emotionally dangerous too. I haven't dated in 28 years (yikes!), so I figured I can use all the info. I can get. Someone from another DS group recommended it, and I'm glad I read it. You can order it though your kindle on Amazon.
CGK has recommended "Date or Soul Mate" by Neil Clark Warren (eharmony guy) on the site before. I have to order this one as it's not in my local library.
Any others? I just took two out of the library; just starting "the Secret Laws of Attraction" by Talane Miedaner. Looks like this one may have some good tips on discovering and knowing your own emotional needs first before looking for love.
I also have "He's Just Not Your Type" by Andrea Syrtash but haven't looked at this one yet.
I can post about these books after I've read them is anyone is interested.
