Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
And maybe the OW will get a new pair of glasses for Christmas!! *wishful thinking*
Diane, remember: TALK IS CHEAP! Who cares what anyone says about what happened? YOU are the WINNER because you aren't saddled with that schlep anymore. He gets what he deserves....and maybe HER aim has improved!
You wrote "... I just don't want him to affect my son."
Haven't we had this conversation before? Your son is a very bright and intuitive young man. He has a good mind and a mind of his own. He's not deaf, dumb, blind or stupid and he's OLD ENOUGH to distill truth from bullshit AND YOU KNOW IT!
If you don't let this idle talk affect YOU, it won't affect your son. Let it roll off your back, fall on deaf ears or whatever. Remember: what the X says about YOU says more about HIM than it does about anyone! He's a shit. You're not! We love you! And that's the MOST IMPORTANT THING!
I am glad to hear that you don't feel anything for him.
MY response (about the "aim") WAS meant to be humorous. Glad you laughed! Life is too short to be taken seriously all the time.
Let him say what he wants..Who cares !!!!
Of course you don't miss him anymore..... Look at what kind of person he is.
This OW and he belong together..... Two losers...
BTW- that relationship that he’s in with the other woman …
OMG .. I have to laugh…. He’s in for a big surprise . Everything he gets will be because of his choice …
So be it !
It took my son about two years to come to terms with everything... He's fine now
We love you !!!!!!! You're a nice person......
