after 8 months I am not crying anymore and have made new friends.

I can be as busy as I want or spend the day reading. This is wonderful for me.

Yay!! What time's coffee at your house? There is so much good to experience when you have your own home. I remember that happy feeling very well. It happened for me when I bought this house in 2011. I love my house. I thoroughly enjoyed making it my own. The peace of sitting down with a coffee and a good book, looking out the window at the garden I planted, is bliss.

I loved renting for a few years. My tiny renter was my little haven when I first moved out. It was cosy, warm and private. It was great to call the real estate office if the loo was leaking. However, I do not miss the 3-monthly house inspections, and I love that I can decorate as I like whenever I like.

I only have two rules about this place, which I keep to myself, and so far they haven't been broken. The first is - my ex is not allowed inside, and that brings the next rule - there will never be open warfare here. This is a house of love and peace.

I wish you peace, love and joy in your new home.

Congrats on your new place. I hope you'll be very happy there. I'm glad to hear you love it. My condo became home because it was the only thing I could find in my price range that was livable at the time. It's not a bad place, just not what I want. But I'm grateful for a warm place in winter, cool place in summer, and a safe neighborhood. I've got it pretty good.

Be happy there, it's your home. You can make it into whatever you want, decorate it to make you feel good, make it a relaxing place, a calm place, a place for family to visit, a place you can invite friends for dinners, a hide-a-way, a place where you make the rules and you come first, a place where you feel free to be you.
