Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. I equated my grieving similar to with drawls from cigarettes...it's brutal and relentless at first but as time goes by it gets less in intensity and the intervals become further and further apart. Before you know it you hardly think about it until a life event reminds you....then you go through it again only it doesnt last nearly as long and nowhere as intense. You are learning to live without your ex...even if the relationship was bad...you were dependant on his presence and interaction. You will be fine broken...in fact...I can assure you...you will thrive in time. Just be gentle with yourself and allow yourself to feel your way through it...better days are coming....Big Hugs...Kathy
