Since my last post I have been doing extremely well. No problems, a very good colonoscopy report...no surgery required. I have been getting enough fibre ...but not overloading so as to put strain on my colon. I eat bran flakes, about a half cup and have lots of cooked veggies and take 2 benefibre tablets with lots of water every day faithfully.
I was missing my salads and asked the doc if I could go back to eating them and he said yes. So I did. The other day however I ate salad 2 nights in a row and now I have cramping. It just feels like I want to pass gas, which I have done...but it doesn't seem to be enough. Rather disappointing coz I love salads. I know everyone has a different tolerance level and we do not all have aftereffects from the same thing. So I guess it is back to eating "softer" low residue til my tummy settles down. It is not unbearable...not necessary to go to ER...but just uncumfortable...almost comparable to mentrual cramps (from what I remember...lol).
Any suggestions or comments ??

Thrown into the mix this week...I had a couple of bad bouts of acid reflux...thot I was having a heart attack...lol. So I have scaled back on what I am eating til my digestive and bowel area settle down. Actually the cramping has gone...but I'm not going to rush back into anything. Better safe than sorry....and maybe I will lose a bit more weight...lol. Merry Christmas everyone....have a wonderful holiday and keep well xo
