As lay people, we know our own illness, but when we try to expand our knowledge to others we are on shaky ground. Your health situation is a long way from mine.
When in doubt if you are infected, it does not hurt to go on a clear liquid diet for 2 days and see if that helps.
There are so many people that have problems with glutten, it does not hurt to remove it from your diet and see if that helps.
If you are not getting answers from your doc, find another one. A second opinion is always a good idea. It sounds like your doc is trying to help, but you are suffering. Maybe someone else can find what she overlooked.
Going from CT to US seems like a backwards diagnostic radiology path. CTs are far more clear and proper for diverticulitis diagnosis. What do I know.
Best of Luck,
John
I cant try the liquid diet due to my other mediacal conditions that would be affected.
I will phone them if I am getting worse.
Thanks again for letting me vent.

The doppler ct I am having will apparently show even more detail of what is happening in the area.
The pain has spread to both sides now so gp gave me endone for night so at least I will sleep. So long as I remember to take pain meds before it gets too bad I am coping but I dont often realise it is pain building up till it is badThats just part of my symptoms from ms as well, not recognising pain till it has set in.
I have another question, I dont know if its anything to do with this or not but today i have had a pain in my bladder & keep feeling like I want to go but cant pass any urine at all? Is that anything to do with this or something different? i mentioned it to dr this morning but he said wait & it should sort it self out. Any ideas??
My left side infuf of the abdomen is getting more & more painful every day but the Dr's wont listen.
Reason I cant go on fluid only is because I get hemiplegic migraines - which not only are the migraine where cant see, stand noise, vertigo etc I also lose use of left side - plegia. They have told me to go on unsupervised liquids could be quite dangerous.
At the stage where will probably give it a go soon anyway as had a bad headache bordering migraine for 2 days.
Will try clear liquids from tonight & see if I improve.
Thanks all, just needed to vent more than anything
