My liver panel was elevated earlier this month; Dr says it may be from antibiotics.

I had finished them and then got this new infection last week.

Since I started BACTRIM (antibiotics again) I notice my liver is inflammed again and starting to feel nausea. It is starting to interrupt my sleep (burning.discmomfort);

ANY ONE HAD THIS EXPERIENCE???

My liver enzymes were good, but my liver developed adhesions due to inflammation which I actually have a pic of in my photos section. No clue as to what caused it (infection/drugs, etc). Was most painful and until surgery everyone thought I was nuts or pulled a muscle.

My doctor keeps saying it is from allthe meds i Haven been taking from MAY- present. I HOPE SO!!!!!

Also, my last CT shows an ovarian cyst. WT!!!!

Talk about being discouraged.

Yep sure have or better yet sure do. Same thing here.

Elevated AST and ALT levels.

Not to mention some elevation to the Calcium levels which may be due to being over weight and on HBP meds.

Was told to come back in 4 weeks after no Tylenol or alcohol for 4 weeks.

my enzyme level was also elevated and it does cause some pain now and then. my doc put me on milk thistle to help cleanse the liver. I take it twice a day when I have problems. like all of you, my doc feels that is caused from the medication (including over the counter) you may want to ask your doc about the milk thistle.

Thank you my sister suggested that as well, she had elevated enzymes for a whole different reason but it brought hers down and into the normal range.

I only know about my dog. Milk thistle took care of his liver levels.
