Hello. My name is TerrieAnn. I am a physically disabled, recovering since 1987 in AA, 49 yr old mom, spouse, g-ma and also a chronic pain / DDD / Arthritis patient. Disabled from these for 7 yrs now.
I have had this bowel problem for approx 5-6 yrs of this time but docs never listened well enough or just thought it was the more obvious complications of the meds I've been on for the pain etc. So....... I've suffered with this in fear and pain and confusion for way too long. I suppose it is nice to finally be able to give it a name, and after the biopsies to know it is not a cancerous problem... at least not yet!!!!
I am here looking for your experiences, suggestions, and support. I hope I can contribute to the group in a positive and helpful manner.
It is very difficult for me to sit at the desk on the computer for any real length of time because of my disability, so I sometimes don't answer messages in a timely manner like others who can be at the computer more normal periods of time..... So, please don't think I am being rude or ignoring anyone if I don't get back to you for a few days.
I am so happy for this web site and all the support groups avail... I thank God daily for the founders and their family and reasons for beginning it... I have been so gratefull for this connection for about 2 yrs now as I was very lonely and isolated without any real support for my troubles for about 5 yrs and it was devestating...... now I at least feel a connection to the world and the human race....
I have met so many wonderful people and look forward to meeting all of you.... sorry for rambling on I have a tendency to do that too;) ;)
