I was in hospital after bowel surgery & got an infection. Also got dbl pneumonia. It turned out to be a superbug. I had to be treated with a lot of strong antibiotics in hospital (in icu) & was kept in isolation from then till when I got discharged. This meant that any nurse or hospital people had to put the yellow plastic coat & plastic gloves before they could come in (& Dr's).
Also means because I have this VRE super bug if I have any sugery etc for 12 months I have to be treated urgently & get a private room as a danger to other sick people.
It doesnt seem to be to do with cleanliness etc but is a bug that can spread ough the air & happens in hospitals etc a lot.
It still is a very good practice to keep everything as clean as you can always & wash hands before touching food or eating.
