I try to eat allot of fiber and also take 5 Metamucil capsules at night. I "go" allot and always thought everything was fine. But now I realize that even though I go so much there is still so much left behind. I know this for a fact from a CT scan a year ago and from an incident the other day. So basically I am still constipated. Would it be better for me to continue eating a fiber full diet, but then take MiraLax instead? I find diet alone isn't enough for me. Can you take MiraLax for extended periods of time? Someone said an ingredient in MiraLax is also in antifreeze. I have tried MiraLax for two days now and the good thing is, there is no bloating with it. So I kind of think this may be an answer. Any suggestions?

Alot of Fiber is Good...but ya Gotta Drink Alot of Water With it..back off a Bit of the Fiber, Add a Bit more Water..Fiber can be very Constipating.

Also, I don't know how much ya walk a day...but that is equally as Important...gets all those Low Abdo Muscles Working and Pullling...helps with the digestion process..

I don't know how much you have relied on Laxatives, but that can Really screw with the whole Digestive process if taken To Much..

I have never been constipated, I had the "Other Issue"...I Hope you get this Figured Out !!

MIralax Miralax Yea!! I love it.. But.. I decide weather I need it on a daily basis. My inflamed area is really low, almost at the end of my colon, so my pain comes from when I go. If I take 2 much it works to well and going hurts.. if I don't take anything and don't go I have pain. Yikes.. what to what to do. I have decided that if I don't have a good morning that night I take 1/2 dose of miralax and i am usually good the next morning. If I take a full dose it works to well and I have cramps. It a fine line to tread. You will find out what works for you.
