I have noticed that when I started eating a bowl of oat bran cereal in the morning it was incredible for constipation. As time went by, my body seemed to get used to the oat bran and it didn't work as well as at first.

Lots of Dr.'s recommend Miralax for Diverticulitis and I have not heard any complaints. I think I would say that if you can't find anything else the Miralax would be better than nothing. You could maybe try Metamucil, oat bran or oatmeal, and anything else you find and sort of try rotating them.
That is really all I can think of---sorry. I really hope you find a solution you will be happy with.

I also eat a package of the Activia yogurt every morning (mostly black cherry). It works for me!
I have Crohn's disease & hypothyroid. I eat fruit (especially organic apples) & vegetables everyday. I also take a raw probiotic and I eat probiotic foods, like unpasteurized sauerkraut & miso.
Sorry for responding so late. I don't get emails from DS anymore.

Even though eating low residue I think something should be moving
Good luck
So I had my 2 colace in the morning and pushed 3 doses of miralax in between 2pm and 8 pm
As of 2 an next day NOTHING
I'm not in pain- feeling bloated and scared
One problem I see is stress sometimes causes constipation, and your are going through so much stress right now worrying, and that is not a good thing.
I wish you luck!!!
