I too have done a little online shopping. I also went out with my daughter to a luminary festival at Green Lake, Pathway of Lights. We walked between live music venues but I wished I'd had a stroller for the 4 year old. For the first time, she and my service dog had trouble keeping up with me. While I'm grateful for having more mobility and less pain, I felt sad that we were so estranged from old friends (pre-motherhood) and family (religious conservatives that live 3,000 miles away. I could use the kind of network I grew up in (large extended family) all year long but especially during the holidays.
Jane, a thought about the 4 am wake ups and the pain, are you interested in bioidentical hormones? or maybe the Z-Health maneuvers that have ended my CF/FM-like agony? As far as I can tell what ended years of fruitless attempts at pain management for me were getting my Vitamin D3 levels up higher than 60, Z-Health and getting my metabolism balanced. Of course, not knowing your pain sources and history, I make no assumptions about your needs.
Hugs,
RW
