I really don't think that BMI charts are "good enough" yet as they don't take age or gender into account. I believe that they should also take "bone size" into account, but I've no idea how they would do that.
According to this chart, I should weight between 150 and 190. I was 175 when I was in college, and was a bit skinny back then. My doctor tells me that 200 is a good weight for me at my age, height, etc.
I agree with Halterbroke, the charts are biased a bit too much on the skinny side.
It is a guild line.
However, BMI chart is best.
Halter, spoken like heavy person " the range errs on the too-slim side ", lol, Not.
Of course I made excuses too.
I know my healtthy body weight. I know right now I'm 30 lbs over weight. it feels like I'm carrying around 3 10 lb. bags of potatoes,. on my gut.
Over weight I have less entergy, don't dresss up as much, lungs feel like their being squeezed. LOL even if I hadn't pole danced, my breathing is shollow. having regained weight, I seldom get spay on.
will when I weight at my healthy weight level I'm a live n living life to it's fulness.
sorry for ramble. hope I made since. we know how we feel at dif weights. we know what works for our health.
6-8 small
10-12 medium
14-16 large
18-20 Xlarge(1x)
22-24 (2x)
26-28 (3x)
or something like that. We all know what we feel best at. Eat healthy and stop when satisfied, not necessarily when full.
During my lifetime, I have gone from small to large.....while youth was the small. Oh well, a work in progress...lol...
