A very healthy way to learn to eat.

I track my food pretty closely, count calories, and eat healthy. I think WW is a lot like that, except they use a points system instead of calorie counts.
Best of luck to you. You've come to the right place.
The program was pretty easy to follow. The weekly weigh-ins and meetings are great. Their nutritional requirements aren't too stringent and I don't know if that's good or bad. For example, there's no difference between saturated and unsatrurated fats on how many points each one cost you.
Overall, it's a good program, definitely. It is not a get-skinny-quick type of diet. It's livable and more of a lifestyle change. The one problem is that they just changed their program. I think the new one is still good, but it isn't as tried-and-true as the old one. The old program had been around for years and worked for tons of people. They did at least one study on the new program before releasing it, but studies are definately not always reliable or well-done.
One really good thing about the program is that, after reaching your weight goal and maintaining it for 5 or so weeks, you become a lifetime member. That means membership is free as long as you weigh in once per month and don't go over your range. So, basically, it's great motivation to stay at your goal weight after you lost.
It is worth a try, especially if you think weekly meetings would be helpful. The monthly pass membership fee is reasonable - about $40 per month.
Good luck.
i lost but never made lifetime.
I recently stopped the program after they made changes because i simply could not get with the new program! I found it to be confusing after being on the old one for so long!
Good luck with whatever you chose, the importent thing is to do what works best for you.
