I dont think it would benefit us to separate.
Thats just my opinion though. I dont think weight loss for teens is going to turn out to be a healthy place....may as well call it eating disorder promotion room.....there is already an obesity room for people who want to lose over 100 pounds....
age doesnt really matter.....im working together with people older than be, bigger than me, smaller than me, more in shap than me, less in shape than me....i like it, we can all watch each other get better, and make progress, and that is what keeps me going....
im not for a division of this group.
50+ or 100+ community. Long term weight loss is hard.
Last 10 pounds. This is the hardest category I think in all weight loss.
I love healthy eating. I need food prep help and more recipes.
I think a community for teens is wonderful!
I think maybe a Motivation Tips could be a community were info is included too.
I'm so happy I found this site! I'm telling many friends about it because it is serious while still being fun.
i also agree with healthy eating.
What about exercise? Or is there one for that already? It is such an integral part of everyone's health, and not done nearly enough. A lot of people need help to get motivated to start moving, a group would be a great way to get people together for this reason.
If there is a teen group - I would suggest monitoring it pretty closely.
A teen/twenties group would probably be a good idea -- if monitored occasionally by a physician or eating disorders specialist. I've seen several anorexic youngsters posting on the weight loss board and getting some enthusiastic support for their maladaptive behavior.
Hey, a community RECIPE board would be fun, especially if separated into sections for things like recipes that can be used for things like diabetes, celiac disease/wheat allergy, vegetarianism, heart disease, general weight loss...
I also think the teen weight loss group is a great idean, but I agree that it needs monitoring. Specifically because, I believe a teen would be more likely to spread misinformation to other teens, accidentally.
